It’s official! After months of speculation Donald Trump has announced on Twitter that he has chosen Indiana Gov. Mike Pence as his running mate just before 11 a.m. on Friday.
I am pleased to announce that I have chosen Governor Mike Pence as my Vice Presidential running mate. News conference tomorrow at 11:00 A.M.

Trump had originally planned to hold a news conference Friday morning to make the announcement, but he postponed it following the deadly attacks in Nice, France, Thursday night.

Pence has been the governor of Indiana since 2013. He also represented Indiana in the House of Representatives for 12 years before running for governor.
