Breitbart reports An 18-year-old Midwest City, Oklahoma, woman shot and killed her ex-boyfriend after he allegedly violated a protective order by breaking into her home and assaulting her.

According to News Channel 10, police say the man “broke in through the window of the home” and “was shot to death” by the ex-girlfriend around 1:00 a.m. on March 10.

KFOR reports that the woman had a protective order against her 20-year-old ex-boyfriend and that he was allegedly armed when he entered through a window.

The woman said the man assaulted her, but she was able to get away long enough to grab a gun and shoot him. “She then ran to a neighbor’s house to call police.”

KFOR’s Ashley Kringen tweeted that police said the shooting “appears to be justifiable” in light of the protective order violation.
