Liberals Outraged After NASA Reveals New Polar Ice Cap Data and Photos (Video)

For the last decade or so, liberals have been whining about climate change, and citing the “destruction” of Antarctica as their evidence. New reports, however, have completely destroyed this argument…

Former President Barack Obama declared in a State of the Union Address that “No challenge poses a greater threat to future generations and than climate change.”

Obama went on to say: “Look, if anybody still wants to dispute the science around climate change, have at it,” Obama said. “You’ll be pretty lonely, because you’ll be debating our military, most of America’s business leaders, the majority of the American people, almost the entire scientific community and 200 nations around the world who agree it’s a problem and intend to solve it.”

In an interesting turn of events, new reports, however, have completely destroyed his argument.

Antarctica is growing not shrinking, according to the latest study from NASA. Furthermore, instead of contributing to rising sea levels, the still-very-much-frozen southern continent is actually reducing them by 0.23 mm per year.

IHTT reports:

For the last decade or so, liberals have been whining about climate change, and citing the “destruction” of Antarctica as their evidence. New reports, however, have not only completely destroyed this argumentbut since May of this year, Antarctic ice has been growing so fast that a ‘calving’ of the ice threatens to unleash an iceberg the size of the country of Wales or bigger.

According to a June report by Kevin Sullivan, there is an Antarctic ice rift close to calving, after growing 17km in just 6 days. Please no one tell Al Gore, he may sell off one of his mansions – especially the one with the ocean view. This global warming, $300 million scam simply cannot last for him forever you know. And private jets, limos and 40 times the national average for electric bills ain’t cheap. Al’s got all that in spades.

This gets a little into the weeds here – but stick with me for a couple paragraphs:

The rift in the Larsen C ice shelf in Antarctica has grown by 17km in the last few days and is now only 13km from the ice front, indicating that calving of an iceberg is probably very close, Swansea University researchers revealed after studying the latest satellite data. The rift in Larsen C is likely to lead to one of the largest icebergs ever recorded.

“In the largest jump since January, the rift in the Larsen C Ice Shelf has grown an additional 17 km (11 miles) between May 25 and May 31 2017… When it calves, the Larsen C Ice Shelf will lose more than 10% of its area to leave the ice front at its most retreated position ever recorded; this event will fundamentally change the landscape of the Antarctic Peninsula…”

What he’s saying in a nutshell, is:

Despite a new film about Global Warming or Climate Change, Chicken Little, or whatever they’re calling it now – Antarctica is growing not shrinking, according to the latest study from NASA. Furthermore, instead of contributing to rising sea levels, the still-very-much-frozen southern continent is actually reducing them by 0.23 mm per year.

The study – by an organization not hitherto noted for playing down environmental scares – will come as a major blow climate alarmists.  For decades, they have cited Antarctica as one of the bellwethers of global warming catastrophe and have claimed – as the IPCC’s most recent Assessment Report did – that its land ice mass was slowly melting into the sea.

But the satellite measurements used in the latest NASA report tell a different story. Unlike previous studies – many largely based on guesswork because the continent is so vast and inhospitable, meaning that data is extremely limited – they use satellite altimeters to calculate changes in the surface height of the ice.

What they show is that the amount of ice lost by glaciers collapsing into the sea has been exceeded by the gain in ice mass from accumulated snow.

According to the new analysis of satellite data, the Antarctic ice sheet showed a net gain of 112 billion tons of ice a year from 1992 to 2001. That net gain slowed to 82 billion tons of ice per year between 2003 and 2008.

Among those alarmists trying to put a brave face on the shocking news is the report’s lead author Jay Zwally. Like so many of his colleagues at NASA’s Goddard Institute of Space Studies (GISS), Zwally has fought heroically over the years to promote the climate change scare narrative – and he’s not about to give up now.

“I know some of the climate deniers will jump on this, and say this means we don’t have to worry as much as some people have been making out,” he says. “It should not take away from the concern about climate warming.” As global temperatures rise, Antarctica is expected to contribute more to sea-level rise, though when exactly that effect will kick in, and to what extent, remains unclear.

But the global warming aka climate change crowd continues to push their agenda on the public while lining their pockets in the process. If you’re still inclined to believe what Al Gore and Obama have to say about climate change, please consider the fact that since he embarked on his crusade, his wealth has grown from $2 million in 2001 to $100 million in 2016 – largely due to investments in fake “green tech” companies and the effective embezzlement of numerous grants and loans.

When President Donald Trump announced that he was withdrawing the United States from the Paris Climate Accord the Democrats and mainstream media went into a frenzy declaring that the world was coming to an end, crops would suddenly start to die and our children would be stricken with asthma.

What the Democrats do not want the American people to know is that the United States contributed $1 billion to the global Green Climate Fund, but the world’s top polluters contributed nothing, David Asman reported.

Fox News reported that Asman said on “Forbes on Fox” that China, Russia and India contributed no money to the Green Climate Fund, yet that international community pressured the U.S. to sign onto the Paris Climate Accord.

Steve Forbes said that the billion-dollar payment is another reason why President Trump was smart to withdraw the U.S. from the Paris agreement.

“It would have a devastating impact on our economy,” Forbes said.

He said that America already reduces Carbon emissions better than any other nation in the world – which you won’t hear Democrats or mainstream media tell the American people.
