In 2012, Rolling stone reporter Michael Hastings revealed that Bowe Bergdahl had not only planned his desertion, he had actively sought out the Taliban.

The following year, Michael Hastings died in a single-vehicle automobile crash (explosion) in his Mercedes C250 Coupé at approximately 4:25 a.m. in the Hancock Park neighborhood of Los Angeles on June 18, 2013, under suspicious circumstances.

In July 2012, Hastings published a ten-thousand word article titled America’s Last Prisoner of War, which had drawn the attention of the FBI.

Not only had Hastings revealed the details leading up to Bowe’s desertion, he had also exposed that the unit was out of control, and lacked any form of effective leadership.

Excerpt from America’s Last Prisoner of War:

In the early-morning hours of June 30th, according to soldiers in the unit, Bowe approached his team leader not long after he got off guard duty and asked his superior a simple question: ‘If I were to leave the base, would it cause problems if I took my sensitive equipment?’

Yes, his team leader responded – if you took your rifle and night-vision goggles, that would cause problems.

Bowe returned to his barracks, a roughly built bunker of plywood and sandbags. He gathered up water, a knife, his digital camera and his diary. Then he slipped off the outpost.

America’s Last Prisoner of War:

‘From the start, everything seemed to go wrong. In April, Lt. Fancey was removed from his post for clashing with a superior officer. He was replaced by Sgt. 1st Class Larry Hein, who had never held such a command – a move that left the remote outpost with no officers. According to four soldiers in the battalion, the removal of Fancey was quickly followed by a collapse in unit morale and an almost complete breakdown of authority.’

‘Three good sergeants, Bowe said, had been forced to move to another company, and “one of the biggest shit bags is being put in charge of the team.” His battalion commander was a “conceited old fool.” The military system itself was broken: “In the US army you are cut down for being honest… but if you are a conceited brown nosing shit bag you will be allowed to do what ever you want, and you will be handed your higher rank… The system is wrong. I am ashamed to be an american. And the title of US soldier is just the lie of fools.”

The unit, for its part, continued to bungle even the most basic aspects of military duty. During the last week of June, the platoon spent a day resupplying at Forward Operating Base Sharana. When someone in the unit lost his weapon, everyone in the platoon had to drop what they were doing and look for it.

In 2012, the Obama administration had “encouraged” the Bergdahl’s to refrain from speaking about Bowe. Was this done because too much was being revealed about Bowe’s desertion, and the Obama administration was working on a prisoner swap that would leave a nation in shock.

Bowe’s father, Robert Bergdahl, had gone on a very public campaign, criticizing the Obama administration for killing Afghanistan civilians, and had even said that one of the Taliban captors of his son had his child murdered by a CIA drone.

Robert Bergdahl went so far as to post a video on YouTube, where he appealed directly to this son’s captors, stating: “…We must also thank those who have cared for our son for almost two years…We have wept that God may show his beneficence, his mercy and that his peace may come upon the people of Pakistan. As-salamu alaykum [peace be upon you].”

Hastings investigation had also revealed Bergdahl’s anti-American sentiments, and published the shocking emails Bowe sent to his father that said: “I am ashamed to be an American… The horror that is America is disgusting.”

final email

“The future is too good to waste on lies,” Bowe wrote. “And life is way too short to care for the damnation of others, as well as to spend it helping fools with their ideas that are wrong. I have seen their ideas and I am ashamed to even be american. The horror of the self-righteous arrogance that they thrive in. It is all revolting.”

A 22-page secret FBI report dated June 11, 2012, obtained by investigative reporter Jason Leopold, shows that both Hastings and former Afghanistan war veteran and co-writer Matt Farwell were under an intense FBI investigation in early 2012.

investigation

The FBI report reflected Hastings findings that Bergdahl had deserted, and that he had systematically planned it by shipping his personal belongings home.

Why did the Obama Administration work so hard to trade high level Taliban for a known deserter, and then play up the ceremony as if he were a hero.

fbi deserter

Staff Sergeant Joseph Biggs had known Michael Hastings since 2008, when the journalist was embedded in his unit in Afghanistan, and told Fox News that Hastings was working on “the biggest story yet” about the CIA before his untimely death.

Biggs was responsible for releasing an email (pictured below) that Hastings wrote 15 hours before his car crash in which the journalist stated he was “onto a big story” and needed “to go off the radar for a bit.”

Biggs tweeted that the reason he released the email was because Hastings’ other friends and colleagues who received it were “too scared” to do so.

Bowe Bergdahl was charged with desertion, and misbehavior before the enemy; the first carries up to five years in prison, the latter up to life. A conviction on either could strip him of his rank and all pay and earn him a dishonorable discharge.

      • Cars have gasoline in them, of course they can explode. That’s why you carry a spare EMPTY gallon container for gasoline in your trunk – if it was full, the car can explode if someone rams you hard from behind.

        • Yes, cars have gasoline, and gasoline is flammable, but gasoline is not explosive under the conditions of the accident; fumes are volatile, the liquid burns… therefore, the explosion that sent the engine flying down the block is 99% unlikely. It was a car bomb.

          • Logic for the accident: Not explosive under the conditions of the accident => Conditions of the accident unknown and controversial => Impossible for a car to explode.
Am I wrong? If I’m wrong, then we can argue about that. Otherwise we can all just make up our own conclusion.

          • NOTHING burns except in a gaseous state. Wood doesn’t burn; it’s the vapor that it produces. Gas (fumes) produced by gasoline are certainly combustable and can explode… If gasoline is in a tank (or any confined space) and the pressure builds up enough, the vapor can definitely explode. A high speed car accident will certainly force the hot metal parts of a car to rub against each other almost instantly and cause super hot friction, creating the spark necessary to cause an explosion. You people need to figure out how it is possible for something to have happened.

          • That’s very interesting, however, he was not in a high speed chase, and his car blew up before he crashed.

    • I love all the comments on that post relating it to Paul Walker. The odds of getting into an accident 1/140, the odds of a car CATCHING FIRE is 1/2,500, the odds of DYING in a car accident 1/20,000, the odds of a car EXPLODING on impact are LITEREALLY ASTRONOMICAL!
There is a study that gives statistical sense of the unlikelihood of the manner in which Hastings’ car crashed on the night of June 18, 2013 in Los Angeles, hours after his friend Sgt. Joe Biggs described him as “panicked.” Biggs was one of the soldier friends Biggs had met in the course of his embeds in Afghanistan and Iraq. In the email, received by Biggs and other friends, Hastings said he was working on a “big story,” but believed he was being investigated by the FBI. In the email Hastings told friends that he needed to “go off the radar for a bit.” By 4:30 a.m. less than 14 hours later, Hastings was dead…….. but yah know… just a coincidence

  1. I’m not a conspiracy theorist or an Obama fan at all but I been involved in many many car crash investigations. This looks very much like a lot of cars that spin or slide at high-speeds and hit a pole or a tree. Many look worse than this.

    • I respect your experience, however, the car did not spin, and it was not going overly fast, it exploded. It hit a palm tree and the explosion was so intense that the engine was found down the street. The car did not explode from the engine area, it exploded from inside the car … Mr. Hastings was murdered. everything we are hearing about now pertaining to Bergdahl he found out about and was exposing – they asked him to stop, and he refused. This is the result.

      • But it most likely lost control and slammed into the tree. Everything I’ve read has witnesses saying the car was travelling extremely fast.

The article here conflicts itself. The first picture has a caption stating the door is missing and was most likely blown off by an internal explosion…but then the last picture shows the door still on the car. The logical explanation is that the jaws of life was used to remove the door after the fire was put out.

The explosion…was there one? Or, was the engine throw out of the car via the high-speed crash into the tree, and a fire simply engulfed the car? If there was an explosion on the inside of the car that was powerful enough to blow the engine that far…why was his body still intact and just burned? Do you think a human body could withstand being blown apart by the size of the explosion you presume happened?

        • Have you ever seen a car crash? How many of those cars did you see the engine fly across the street? Short answer, none of them. Although some cars have the built in function to drop engine out to avoid it coming into the cab it wouldn’t end up that far from the car…

          • Maybe this is an example for where we can say “I’ve seen a car crash where the engine flew across the street”. I haven’t seen too many car crashes, maybe about ten. So for all I know, about 10% of super high speed car crashes result in pieces of the car flying off. Doesn’t sound unusual…

    • Every party needs a liberal, I was wondering how long it would take. Don’t be obtuse! Of course we were not there, I was not there when you were born either yet here you are! I did not see the Japanese attack Pearl Harbor but I know it happened. LOOK AT THE PICTRUES and the proof – what is now being discussed during a committee hearing with Hagel, Michael Hastings revealed and was told to shut up! He refused and is dead! When a car hits a tree the engine does not catapult a block away… put your head back in the sand “fanny” really, lol.

  2. DO YOU THINK OBUNGHOLE LEARNED THIS TRICK FROM THE CLINTONS? DIDN’T THE CLINTONS KILL PEOPLE WHO WERE WHISTLE BLOWERS?

  3. No evidence whatsoever in this piece that Hastings was working on a follow up story to the Bergdahl article.

  4. I have seen an engine across the street. No explosion at all. My uncle was killed riding in a barracuda that hit a pole at 130+. The car was 3 separate pieces, and never exploded. So unless this car was traveling at 100+, there is no way the engine left the car without an explosion. If anyone believes that our government isn’t capable of such things, you are delusional.

  5. Within the past week, he filed a lawsuit challenging the Environmental Protection Agency’s attempt to regulate greenhouse gases.
While they play an crucial part inside our culture these days, it is actually a bittersweet time
when a person has to contact over a Criminal Defense Lawyer for
their support, mainly because it commonly means that they are in a
few kind of trouble. Choosing an attorney to serve the long-term legal needs of a family is never easy.

  6. its very odd that the vehicles roof has not dramatically altered shape, the usual reaction to a explosive device either inside or underneath,as shown historically from cowardly attacks by groups of republicans in great Britain during the troubles

  7. I’m impressed, I must say. Seldom do I come across a blog that’s both equally educative and amusing, and without a doubt, you have hit the nail on the head. The problem is an issue that not enough men and women are speaking intelligently about. I am very happy I stumbled across this in my hunt for something regarding this.

  8. EVERYONE!- I don't know what this means- but maybe someone with more computer skills can tell us–Copy the PDF image of his birth certificate, then paste it into MS Paint.Proof of forgery or computer glitches???? It can't be that bad of a forgery can it???
