[Watch] Teachers Strong Objection to Common Core Calling Test Requirements ‘Cruel and Harmful’

Jennifer Rickert is a 6th grade teacher for the Ichabod Crane Central School District in upstate New York where she’s been teaching for 22 years.

Jennifer speaks on behalf of her students at a Board of Education meeting and strongly objects to Common Core testing. Jennifer provides a heart wrenching testimonial and cites moral and ethical conflicts over administration of developmentally inappropriate and controversial common core tests.

Parents and colleagues in her support give standing ovation.

“I must go on record as strongly objecting to this test,” Rickert said in her speech, which received a standing ovation. “I will be respectfully requesting reassignment on the dates of the 2015 Common Core ELA [English/Language Arts] assessment.”
