Michael Strickland, 36 was arrested Thursday at a Black Lives Matter protest in downtown Portland where hundreds of protesters gathered when he pulled out a gun on the crowd. No shots were fired. Police were not there when he pulled the gun, but acted quickly once they heard the commotion. They had him on the ground in cuffs within minutes.
The protest remained peaceful, until a man pointed a weapon at the crowd.
No shots were fired and no one was injured.
Michael Strickland is facing menacing and disorderly conduct charges. He’s due in court Friday.
