Chelsea Clinton Gets Trolled With Hilarious Tweets After She Criticizes Trump’s Response to Harvey

President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania visited with the victims of Hurricane Harvey on Saturday in Houston, Texas and Louisiana, taking time to play with children and assure people that they are not alone and government assistance is being provided.

Chelsea Clinton had to chime in and take a cheap shot at Trump which caused a backlash on Twitter over the weekend after she lamented over a statement that he made about the relief efforts and how people are coming together.

What Trump said

While at a storm relief center in Houston, Trump spoke about the “wonderful” relief efforts, which brought Americans from all colors and backgrounds together to help each other out.

Trump said: “Really, I think people appreciate what’s been done. It’s been very efficient, it’s been very well…we’re very happy with the way everything’s been going. A lot of love.”

“As tough as this was, it’s been a wonderful thing. I think even for the country to watch and even for the world to watch. It’s been beautiful,” he added.

From The Blaze:

Clinton’s reaction

Apparently, praising the relief effort and its togetherness isn’t the best thing to do — at least according to Clinton.

“People lost their lives, loved ones, homes, beloved pets. Many thousands of people face uncertain futures. Our President on #Harvey,” she wrote on Twitter Saturday, linking to a video of Trump’s comments.

Many found Clinton’s sentiment to be out of line. Trump was neither insensitive nor lacking empathy in the comments that Clinton linked to, he was merely praising the relief efforts.

Indeed, Trump’s visit to the storm-damaged areas Saturday was a much better visit than the one he made last Tuesday, which he was criticized over for allegedly lacking empathy. Needless to say, social media users trolled Clinton hard:
