The family of “Clock Boy” Ahmed Mohamed filed an ‘or else’ lawsuit against the City of Irving and the Irving Independent School District. They want $10 million from the City of Irving and $5 million from Irving ISD for damages they claim Ahmed and his family suffered after the teen was arrested. The family also wants an apology from the two entities.
Law firm Laney and Bollinger sent the City of Irving and Irving ISD letters demanding they pay the family $10 million from the City of Irving and $5 million from Irving Independent School District for damages it claims Ahmed and the family suffered following the teen’s arrest in September, KDFW 4 reported. Otherwise, they will sue. The family also wants an apology from the Irving Mayor Beth Van Duyne and Irving Police Chief Larry Boyd.
The letter demanding money from the city and district says that the family insists it wants “more than anything to come home” to Irving, according to the local FOX affiliate. The letter gives both the city and the district 60 days to pay up or else face a lawsuit. City and district officials did not have any immediate comment on the letter.

President Obama jumped to Ahmed’s defense and Tweeted what a great clock it was and invited him to the White House.
Ahmed was one of 300 guests invited to attend the White House’s Astronomy Night. As Obama moved through the crowd of attendees after making brief remarks, Mohamed was one of the many who greeted him.
Had Obama not jumped to defend Ahmed, presumably because he is Muslim, he would have found out that Ahmed was a fraud. All he had done was reassemble a clock into a case.
Mohamed and his family are now overseas in Qatar and enrolling in school after a foundation has offered to pay for his education.
Ahmed Mohamed accepted a full scholarship to attend a Qatar school instead of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). “Clock Boy” Ahmed chose the reputed home of the Muslim Brotherhood over an institution revered among the world’s finest science and engineering universities. (HT Breitbart)
