Congress Underpaid? Are You Kidding Me!

In an interview with CQ Roll Call, Rep. Jim Moran (D-VA) said that he believes members of Congress are underpaid for the work they do. Excuse me? What work would that be exactly!?! Kissing Obama’s backside and ignoring all the Constitutional infringements he’s made!

Moran made the comments in an interview with CQ Roll Call. “I think that the American people should know that members of Congress are underpaid. I understand it’s widely felt that they under-perform, but the fact is that this is the board of directors for the largest economic entity in the world, and a lot of members can’t even afford to live decently when they are at their job in Washington.”

They are not underpaid! They need term limits to ensure they do their jobs which they have not been doing! They need less freedom and more accountability and, they need to do their job which is to represent the best interests of We the People and not themselves or Obama!

Members of Congress currently earn $174,000 per year. The Associated Press recently reported that the House is moving to freeze pay for a fourth year in a row for Congress. Moran intends to introduce an amendment to the House bill that would give Congressmen a per diem payment to cover housing costs.

I not only find this ludicrous but highly offensive to suggest such a thing; Congress needs term limits and that is all they deserve!
