Malaysian Airlines Flight MH17 was traveling from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur on Thursday, July 17, 2014 when it was shot down by a ground-to-air missile, killing all 298 people on board. Local residents are discovering the remains of the passengers strewn about their backyards.
In the video, Ukraine Minister of Defense Valeriy Heletey said:
“I want to emphasize that his provocative terrorist act that happened yesterday shows the rest of the world that Ukraine doesn’t just fight gangs of bandits and single terrorists. Ukraine is fighting international terrorism that is sadly supported by Russia.”
One resident said:
“It is very hard and tragic to live through this when we are all here under attack in our towns. They are killing our children. Putin and the Donestsk People’s Republic government scream to the whole world about it. But no one can hear us. Now this [plane crash] happened, now everyone will hear.”
