“Just like you cannot wear a swastika to school, you cannot wear Make America Great Again like that…”
Lyn Orletsky, a River Ridge High School math teacher in Cherokee County Georgia, was recorded scolding two students and kicking them out of class for wearing “Make America Great Again” shirts, which she compared to wearing a Nazi swastika.
Students in the class recorded the event and the video was obtained by Turning Point News and then shared on their social media accounts Saturday.
“Just like you cannot wear a swastika to school, you cannot wear Make America Great Again like that,” and told the students to leave the classroom.
“You cannot wear a swastika to school,” Orletsky can be heard telling her students, “you cannot wear ‘Make America Great Again’ like that.”
“Please go, at least for this class,” she says. “I don’t care what you do in other classes.”
“Wait so both of them have to like flip their shirts inside out because it says Trump on the top?” another student asks.
“Because it says ‘Make America Great Again,’” she responds. “The Neo-Nazis … I’m not saying about Trump, but the slogan.”
According to Turning Point USA, a district spokesperson told parents:
“Superintendent of Schools Dr. Brian V. Hightower is deeply sorry that this incident happened in one of our schools; it does not reflect his expectation that all students be treated equally and respectfully by our employees,” continues the statement. “…The Superintendent also is instructing all Principals to meet with their teachers and staff to review the dress code and remind them that their political opinions should not be shared with students.”
The GP reported that the parents were not satisfied with the apology and demanded that the teacher be fired, and that is exactly what the school did.

TPN was tipped off to Orletsky’s termination by an anonymous source from within River Ridge High School. Through this source, we have been able to obtain a letter sent to the parents of Orletsky’s students notifying that they have terminated her position and are starting a search for a new teacher.
Independently, Turning Point News was able to confirm that this letter is authentic and comes from a reputable source close to the situation.
“The purpose of this correspondence is to provide you with an update on your child’s math class,” the letter signed by school principal Darrell Herring reads. “Ms. Orletsky no longer is your child’s math teacher, effective immediately.”
The letter also informs that the school is searching for an “experienced educator to teach these classes for the rest of the school year.”
Reportedly, according to the letter, Herring informed teachers and faculty at River Ridge High School of “all federal and state laws restricting political activity among teachers” at public, taxpayer funded schools.
This should send a clear message to other liberal teachers not to enforce their ignorant hate for President Trump in classrooms, but knowing how they operate, the teacher will probably sue and be awarded a settlement, or worse, get her job back.
