Hillary Clinton spoke to the media this afternoon at a campaign event in Iowa, saying she wants her private emails to be released as soon as possible. If that were the case, than why did she go to such great lengths to delete over 30,000 and scrub her server.
Fox News reported:
The State Department said it plans to release 55,000 pages of Clinton’s emails by next January, which is just before the start of the presidential primaries.
Clinton said today she would rather see the emails come out much sooner.
“I have said repeatedly: I want those emaiIs out. Nobody has a bigger interest in getting them released than I do. I respect the State Department. They have their process that they do for everybody, not just for me. But anything that they might do to expedite that process, I heartily support,” said Clinton.
Clinton also said there was no conflict of interest related to her giving paid speeches before she announced her run for president.
In recent weeks, critics have dogged Clinton for taking only a handful of questions during the first month of her campaign and not doing any major interviews.
She walked out of the event as other reporters attempted to continue asking questions.
In another development today, the New York Times released emails indicating that Hillary Clinton used more than one private email address during her time as secretary of state.
She did not address that report this afternoon.
