Jimmy Carter: ‘Jesus Would Approve Of Gay Marriage’ [Video]

Former president Jimmy Carter said that he believes Jesus would approve of gay marriage saying that Jesus would encourage any love affair if it was honest and sincere.

HuffPost Live’s Marc Lamont Hill asked Carter on Tuesday whether he believes Jesus would approve of gay marriage, and Carter said he does.

“I believe Jesus would. I don’t have any verse in scripture. … I believe Jesus would approve gay marriage, but that’s just my own personal belief. I think Jesus would encourage any love affair if it was honest and sincere and was not damaging to anyone else, and I don’t see that gay marriage damages anyone else,” he said.

  1. I would very much recommend to you to pick up a KJV Holy Bible and read what God thinks ans says about homosexueality. I can tell that you know very little about Gods word

      • I would say he’s fairly familiar with the KJV of the Bible. He is also particularly familiar with the teachings of Jesus himself. If you have ever known someone who has cheated on their spouse, or someone who has divorced, I hope you did what the Bible told you to do. Stone the cheater and ensure the divorced friend only married the brother of her ex-husband. Literalists (AKA evangelicals), please stop talking – the rest of us Christians would like the religion to stop declining and that means you ceasing your judgement of others.

        • I dont care what anyone says if you can read the Bible with understanding you will get so much more info that you need to get ready for that old dragon,Lucifer or whatever name he is useing.Believe me The angels are getting ready to kick him out of HEAVEN.He is going to be here with us.

  2. My same thoughts Carroll Gauthier he needs to become familiar with the KJV Holy Bible… he couldn’t possibly have read it and make such a false statement as that!!!!!
