Wednesday, Secretary of State John Kerry was asked about a Gitmo detainee recently released by the Obama administration.
IJ review reports During a Senate hearing on Wednesday, Secretary of State John Kerry was asked about a Gitmo detainee recently released by the administration.
His response was, let’s just say, an acknowledgement of the obvious.
Sen. Mark Kirk (R-IL) asked Kerry about the wisdom of releasing former top aide to Osama bin Laden, Ibrahim al Qosi:
“Let me just ask one question. I want to show you a picture of Ibrahim al Qosi, who was recently released by the administration to the Sudanese, and he appeared on some al Qaeda videos recruiting people for AQAP.
Now that he’s out, I would hope we would end the policy of issuing terrorists to terrorist nations, and where they can get out.”
Kerry’s response was jaw-dropping — for all the wrong reasons.
Yeah, that’s Ibrahim.
