A group of protesters confronted Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) and his wife, US Secretary of Transportation, Elaine Chao as they were leaving an event at Georgetown University Monday evening.
The protesters repeatedly yelled at McConnell asking why he was separating families and played audio of children crying at the border. With every moment that passed they seemed to get more confrontational while pushing closer to the car. That’s when Elaine Chao began saying, “Leave my husband alone!” as she got into the SUV to leave.

They swarmed the SUV set to take McConnell and Chao off campus, and Chao immediately jumped into defense mode.

McConnell is just the latest Trump administration official to be harassed in the past week. White House press secretary Sarah Sanders was asked to leave a Virginia restaurant over the weekend, Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi was intimidated out of a movie theater, and DHS Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen was heckled into leaving a Mexican restaurant in DC.
The Democrats hostile rhetoric towards President Trump and those who work with him is going to result in someone getting hurt and the Democrats know it, that is why Nancy Pelosi and others have begun to say that these protests are Trump’s fault, which is a lie. They started this and rather than condemn the activity they are trying to push the blame on the president.
The American people know who to blame, and the Democrats will suffer the repercussions of their actions when there is a red wave this November.
