The Man Who Murdered The 2 NYC Police Officers Was A Muslim: His Name Was ‘Ismaaiyl Abdullah Brinsley’

According to police reports and his Facebook page, ‘Ismaaiyl Abdullah Brinsley’ was a Muslim. Reports say it was a revenge mission for Eric Garner and Michael Brown’s deaths.

Ismaaiyl Abdullah Brinsley shot and killed two NYPD police officers before committing suicide just before 3 p.m. on December 20. The murdered officers have been named as officers Wenjian Liu and Rafael Ramos.

He’s believed to have walked up to the officers patrol car and opened fire, “execution” style. After the shooting, he took his own life. Brinsley, 28, ran to the platform of a Subway station on Marcy Avenue and killed himself with a self-inflicted gunshot wound, reports NBC New York. He was taken to a Brooklyn hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival. Police recovered a silver handgun from his death scene.

Criminal records show Brinsley had a history of arrests on various charges in Georgia, including robbery, shoplifting, carrying a concealed weapon, disorderly conduct and obstruction of a law enforcement officer.
