Maxine Waters on Weinstein Contributions: The DNC ‘Ought to Give Him the Money Back’ (Video)

Sunday on MSNBC, Rep. Maxine Waters told network host Thomas Roberts that the DNC should return the money sexual predator Harvey Weinstein had donated to it.

Waters argued it would send a message that the DNC did want that kind of money involved in campaigns and elections, Breitbart reported.

“They may not have known what was going on, but the fact that they now know — they know now — they ought to give him the money back and make sure the word goes out that the Democratic Party does not welcome that kind of money coming into our campaigns and dealing with, you know, our elections. It is not to be accepted by us.”

Maxine should tell that to Hillary Clinton who announced today that the Clinton Foundation will not be returning the $250,000 they received from Weinstein.

Foundation spokesman Craig Minassian tweeted that donations, ranging from $100,000 to $250,000, have already been spent on projects, the Daily Mail reported.

On “Fox & Friends” this morning, former Utah Congressman Jason Chaffetz said Hillary Clinton is again demonstrating why she is not the president of the United States.

“There’s no excuse for this,” Chaffetz said. “She’s arguing that she wants to lead with women and women’s issues. And then this issue comes up and she’s like, ‘No, I’m going to go ahead and keep that money.’”
