Megyn Kelly Attacks Debate Moderator Over Donald Trump Question ‘Not Quick Enough!’

Fox News’ Megyn Kelly took to Twitter on Wednesday to go after CNBC moderator Becky Quick for letting Donald Trump get away with a lie.

During the debate, Donald Trump, the Republican front-runner claimed that he had not been critical of Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg’s support for bringing in more immigrant workers. It was a blatant lie — Trump, who wants to restrict legal immigration, specifically criticizes Zuckerberg on his campaign website.

“Where did I come up with this?” Quick asked. “That you were..?”

Trump said he didn’t know. “You people write this stuff,” he added.

Quick then apologized.

Journalists and others noted on Twitter that there was a clear source for Trump’s remarks. His website’s immigration page says opponent Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) is “Zuckerberg’s personal Senator” who “has a bill to triple H-1Bs that would decimate women and minorities.”

Kelly retweeted Commentary Magazine’s Noah Rothman, who wrote that Trump “says this all the time.”

Quick tried to circle back and said the information came from Trump’s website, but that didn’t end the criticism.

The CNBC hosts faced a barrage of criticism for their line of questioning, from both on and offstage. Another Fox News host, Neil Cavuto, also piled on.
