On Conan last week, actress Mila Kunis revealed that she had set up a recurring monthly donation to Planned Parenthood in Vice President Pence’s name.
Kunis proudly explained “Every month, to his office, he gets a little letter that says like, ‘An anonymous donation has been made in your name.’ Giggling and wiggling in her seat she called it a “peaceful protest”’
Conservative VP Pence’s supporters did not find her little stunt in the least bit cute and quickly sought to level the playing field in defense of VP Pence and the 3,000 unborn Americans who are being murdered each day by Planned Parenthood.
To give the number some perspective, Planned Parenthood is like a 9/11 Twin Tower attack against unborn Americans EVERY SINGLE DAY!
Conservatives were not going to take her little stunt lying down and quickly zeroed in on the fact that Kunis is a spokeswoman for Jim Beam.
Shortly after the broadcast aired, a #BoycottJimBeam hashtag began trending on Twitter along with promises to donate money in Kunis’s name to The National Rifle Association and to pro-life groups like Susan B. Anthony List
Conservative Tribune reports:
Jim Beam Boycotted After Mila Kunis Brags About Planned Parenthood Giving
A Planned Parenthood donation prank involving Vice President Mike Pence has ended badly for Mila Kunis, with conservatives boycotting one of her sponsors — Jim Beam — and giving similar gifts in her name to conservative organizations.
The whole thing began when Kunis was on Conan O’Brien’s TBS show last week and discussed a prank she had pulled on the vice president.
“I apologize if I’m offending anybody. It’s not so much a prank as much as I disagreed with some of the stuff that Pence was doing and was trying to do,” Kunis told the crowd.
“And so as a reminder that there are women out there in the world that may or may not agree with his platform, I put him on a list of recurring donations that are made in his name to Planned Parenthood.”
“Every month, to his office, he gets a little letter that says like, ‘An anonymous donation has been made in your name.’ I don’t look at it as a prank, this is like, I strongly disagree, and this is my little way of doing it,” Kunis rationalized. “It’s a peaceful protest.”
Hee-larious. Well, it’s probably not so peaceful for the unborn babies, but hey, whatever. What harm could be done?
And, as Kunis found out, two can play at the fake-donation-in-someone’s-name game. Or, well, a lot more than two; The Daily Wire reported others made donations in Kunis’ name to pro-life groups and the National Rifle Association.
Kunis, of course, is entitled to her opinion, the same way others are entitled theirs through a boycott. However, a boycott likely wouldn’t have even been in the offing had Kunis’ stunt not been so childish and flippant.
Will Kunis end up losing out on any money due to her stunt? It’s hard to say. However, while the crowd at Conan may have liked it, it’s pretty clear it went over like a Red Stag hangover with a lot of folks.
