Mitt Romney Goes On Record, Says He Won’t Endorse President Trump In 2020

Mitt Romney would rather see a Democrat win than endorse President Trump’s reelection.

In January, Utah Sen. Mitt Romney said it was too soon to know whether he’d endorse President Trump in his 2020 reelection bid, despite criticizing the president in a Washington Post op-ed earlier this year for not rising “to the mantle of the office,” a position he could have had in 2012 but lost to Barack Obama.

The Utah senator has never been a fan of Trump and he has been very vocal about that.

But what does it say for a sitting Republican member of Congress to not endorse Trump over a Democrat Socialist in 2020? There is no justification for that, not liking Trump personally is one thing, but there is no disputing that he has done historical things for the American people and the country.

From LifeZette:

Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah) announced this week that he does not plan to back President Donald Trump or anyone, for that matter, in the 2020 presidential race, either before or during the general election when Trump seeks his second term.

On Thursday, CNN reported that Romney — who won his race in Utah in last year’s midterm elections — said he would withhold his endorsement in the 2020 race, “both in the primary and in the general election, underscoring the uneasy relationship between the GOP’s 2012 presidential nominee and the leader of his party.”

Back in January, Ronna wasn’t thrilled with her uncle for attacking Trump on the second day of the new year.

In fact, she was pissed by the looks of it.
