Another disturbing undercover video on abortion giant Planned Parenthood was released. The latest video revealed that some of the aborted babies were taken and sold without proper patient consent.
The Washington Post reported that Holly O’Donnell, a former blood and tissue procurement technician for StemExpress, a start-up biotech company that partners with Planned Parenthood clinics to purchase their aborted fetus parts and resell them for scientific experimentation, said it was her job to identify pregnant patients matching the specifications of StemExpress customers and to harvest the fetal body parts from their abortions.
Ms. O’Donnell said fetal parts were sometimes taken without obtaining consent from the patients: “If there was a higher gestation [fetus], and the technicians needed it, there were times when they would just take what they wanted. And these mothers don’t know. And there’s no way they would know.”
Federal law requires proper consent of human tissue.
Also, according to Ms. O’Donnell, Planned Parenthood gave StemExpress workers access to patient records and schedules so the company could plan for the days when patient “supply” would be greatest.advertisement - story continues below
“They give you a sheet, and it’s everybody for that day, who’s coming in for an ultrasound, who’s coming in for an abortion, medical or a late-term abortion,” Ms. O’Donnell said.
Even patients seeking a pregnancy test at Planned Parenthood are of interest, she said, because “pregnancy tests are potential pregnancies, therefore potential specimens.”
The Center for Medical Progress, led by David Daleiden, is releasing videos as part of a “Human Capital” documentary web series. Its first part, called “Planned Parenthood’s Black Market in Baby Parts,” were released in July.
Its second part — and its sixth video — “Inside the Planned Parenthood Supply Site,” was launched Wednesday.advertisement - story continues below
Mr. Daleiden is calling for an end to taxpayer subsidies to Planned Parenthood and investigation into Planned Parenthood.
Congress and several states are investigating Planned Parenthood activities.
At least two of the Center for Medical Progress videos are tied up in court actions, including one by StemExpress.
Planned Parenthood said the videos are “heavily edited” and misrepresent what they do, and that they abide by all laws.advertisement - story continues below
