Explosive news has been revealed that one of the former FBI officials about to be hit with criminal charges in the FISA abuse scandal is one of special counsel Robert Mueller’s operatives.

This is the beginning of what could expose just how corrupt the upper echelon of the FBI really was.

The news comes from the Washington Examiner:

Kevin Clinesmith, who was part of special counsel Robert Mueller’s team, has been identified as the attorney who could face a criminal charge as part of U.S. Attorney John Durham’s expansive criminal inquiry into the origins of the Russia investigation…

According to the Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz, Clinesmith was found to have illegally altered an email that was used by Obama’s FBI as an excuse to begin spying on Donald Trump’s campaign. The faked email was used as “proof” that the FBI had legal grounds to request a warrant to electronically spy on Carter Page, then candidate Trump’s foreign policy adviser.

So, who is this criminal?

Clinesmith was an attorney with the FBI’s National Security and Cyber Law Branch and worked under FBI General Counsel James Baker and Deputy General Counsel Trisha Anderson. He had worked on the Clinton email investigation as well as the Trump-Russia probe. Clinesmith was present in the FBI’s meeting with Trump campaign adviser George Papadopoulos in February 2017 in Chicago, Papadopoulos told lawmakers in 2018.

An Australian diplomat’s tip about Papadopoulos claiming the Russians had damaging information about Hillary Clinton effectively prompted the FBI’s counterintelligence investigation into the Trump campaign, called Crossfire Hurricane, in July 2016.

According to the Horowitz report, Clinesmith falsely stated he had documentation to back up his assertions, then took an email from a different investigation and doctored it to fit his needs.

Horowitz also noted that Clinesmith “was the primary FBI attorney assigned to [the Trump-Russia] investigation in early 2017.”

Clinesmith has also been found to have been wholly biased against Trump, called himself part of the anti-Trump “resistance,” and was cited for anti-Trump bias a whopping 52 times in the investigation.

Indeed, Clinesmith was one of the biased investigators kicked out of Mueller’s Russia investigation team in February 2018.
