Sean Hannity: James Comey ‘Should Go to Jail’ Over Hillary Clinton FBI Investigation (Video)

Fox News host Sean Hannity said that former FBI Director James Comey “should go to jail” for failing to prosecute 2016 Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.

In a segment on his show Thursday related to the FBI’s investigation into Clinton’s email controversy, Hannity said “the fix was in” because text messages showed agents involved in the case opposed then-candidate Donald Trump’s campaign.

Fox legal analyst Greg Jarrett told Hannity that agent Peter Strzok, who had sent and received some of the anti-Trump texts, Comey “and others” may be guilty of obstructing justice if it were proven that they wanted to clear Clinton of wrongdoing for political reasons.

“Meaning, if the fix was in, Greg, Comey should go to jail,” Hannity said, the Washington Examiner reports.

Fox News reports:

Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.), chairman of the Senate Homeland Security Committee, released copies Thursday of the edits to Comey’s highly scrutinized July 2016 statement.

The document shows line-by-line edits, including “grossly negligent” being downgraded to “extremely careless.” It also shows a change from saying it is “reasonably likely” to merely “possible” that “hostile actors” gained access to then-Secretary of State Clinton’s private email account.

“All of this continues to prove that the fix was in from the very beginning of what is a farce of an investigation,” Hannity said.

He pointed out that Comey’s draft statement was from May 2, 2016, but Clinton and key members of her staff weren’t interviewed until two months later.

He claimed that Clinton was exonerated before she was investigated.

Hannity noted another new report that the State Department struck a deal with Clinton and her top aide Huma Abedin that allowed them to remove electronic and physical records they claimed were “personal” and “unclassified, non-record materials.”

“This is beyond outrageous, and it shows that there is a different set of rules and standards for the Clintons and their allies,” Hannity said. “It is all part of a pattern when it comes to the Clintons. The fix is in all the time.”
