Several Passengers Barred From Entering US At JFK Due To Trump Executive Order (Video)

Six passengers were barred from boarding an EgyptAir flight from Cairo to New York City in the aftermath of President Trump’s executive order banning citizens from several Muslim-majority countries from entering the United States, the New York Post reported, and a New York Congressman later said about a dozen others are being held at JFK, Fox News Insider reported.

The six men, five from Iraq and one from Yemen were not allowed to board a flight to John F. Kennedy International Airport on Saturday.

Additionally, two Iraqi men were detained at JFK after they landed last night, and the ACLU later filed a federal lawsuit on their behalf.

The Brooklyn Congresswoman joined fellow New York Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-Manhattan) at a news conference Saturday afternoon, where Nadler said about ten other individuals are being held at the airport.

Those travelers were also not allowed entry into the United States due to Trump’s order, despite having valid visas, Nadler said, according to Fox News’ Bryan Llenas.

Trump’s executive order institutes a three-month immigration ban and a four-month refugee ban from several countries, as well as an indefinite ban on Syrian refugees to the United States.
