*UPDATED* Shocking Video of Los Angeles Police Officers Stun Gunning a Homeless, Unarmed Man Before Shooting Him to death!

UPDATE 3/4/2015 – While the video is shocking and hard to watch, it has reported that the homeless man who was shot and killed by Los Angeles police officers Sunday on skid row was a convicted bank robber who assumed the identity of a French man to enter the United States more than 15 years ago, according to records and interviews.

The video, described by an LAPD commander as ‘disturbing’, was posted on Facebook within a few hours of Sunday’s incident by the passer-by who filmed it.

At the start of the footage four officers are seen struggling to apprehend a homeless man on Skid Row in Los Angeles. He is seen wheeling around trying to strike the officers.

They eventually wrestle him to the ground amid a collection of sleeping bags as two more officers sprint to the scene. While two police detain a nearby female who picked up one of their dropped batons, another can be heard shouting: ‘Drop the gun! Drop the gun!’

It is not known if the man has a gun, but witnesses say he did not.

It was reported that the three officers, one of whom is a sergeant, shot the man as they struggled on the ground for control of one of the police officer’s weapons, after a stun gun proved ineffective, LAPD Cmdr. Andrew Smith said. They were answering a report of a robbery at midday on Sunday.
