DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz appeared on CNN with Wolf Blitzer to discuss Hillary Clinton’s recent email scandal.
Blitzer referenced a CNN/ORC poll showing that Clinton’s favorability rating had fallen 6 points from November 2014, when it was 59%.
He then asked whether Clinton was losing the trust of the American people because of “this email uproar.” Schultz’ response includes the claim that Clinton, when and if she decides to run, “will enjoy significant support,” a statement that should not be discounted.
BLITZER: “You were a big supporter of Hillary Clinton back in 2008. Take a look at this new CNN/ORC poll, favorable opinion of Hillary Clinton. Back in November, she had 59 percent favorability. Now, it’s down to 53 percent. Is she losing some trust now because of this whole e-mail uproar?”
