We The People are III%
The American Revolution was a political upheaval during the last half of the 18th century in which thirteen colonies in North America joined together to break from the British Empire, combining to become the United States of America. III% represents the colonist who took arms to oppose British rule in the American Revolution. The Term III% is symbolic today with the Militias here in the United States. The modern day III% is someone who believes in the core values of which our country was founded on and believes in the principles in which our Founding Fathers laid down their lives so we could live in a free country without fear of being oppressed. The III% honors and is sworn to uphold and enforce the Constitution of the United States of America. III% are People who have sworn to defend this country against all enemies foreign and domestic. III% serve our country honorably, not for fame, riches or reward… but only so our children will be guaranteed the same liberties and freedoms that we were all blessed with growing up. WE THE PEOPLE ARE III%

  1. What Kind Of Person Joins A Militia?

By Col. Christian Yingling, Commander Westmoreland County Regulators 1st Battalion

I was approached by a friend and asked to explain what it meant to be in a Militia. Where to begin…

I guess the best place to start would be to explain what the Militia is. We are civilian protectors of the Constitution. As with any established group, we have our bad seeds. Unfortunately the mainstream media and other liberal types have branded us all “right wing extremists” and/or “domestic terrorists” bent on destroying America. Who’d have thought we’d live to see the day when supporting the document that founded this country and the beliefs and emotions it inspires, would be considered “extreme”?

The truth is, we are you. We walk, and work, and play among you. We are your neighbors, your friends, and most importantly, we are your silent protectors. We are here to ensure that future generations can enjoy the freedoms we have been given and which have, all too often, been taken for granted.

We are ever vigilant of the things that you say you cannot change. We watch the things no one else wants to watch because though they may disagree with it, they feel powerless to change it. We do not have that luxury. Bad things happen to good people and when it does we’re here to help to the best of our ability.

We are not all ex-military commandos. Some of us have never even served. But that doesn’t mean those who haven’t served can’t stand beside those who have when Lady Liberty puts out a distress call. Regardless, we all train, grow together and become closer than a lot of families out there.

Most people fear us because they don’t know what we’re all about. How easily we forget about the patriots who quietly walked out onto Concord and Lexington, knowing they were probably going to die that day. Despite the odds against them, those Americans stood strong and united in their defiance of tyrannical rule. So when people ask me “What’s a militia?”, I am often stunned . Militias rose up to defend this country before we had a standing army.

And we will do so again when it becomes necessary.

What we are NOT are backwoods, redneck, racists. (Well OK…maybe some of us are backwoods rednecks but definitely NOT racists.) We don’t sit around planning how we’re going to take over the government. We don’t want their jobs–their jobs suck. We just want them to do their jobs properly. We love our country and it hurts our hearts deeply to see what happening to her. This once great empire is collapsing. People in other countries who used to look up to us now laugh at us as our country spirals out of control.

We are the ones who quietly prepare to feed our families and take care of them and our neighbors if the time comes when they can’t do it themselves. We are Hell raisers and holy men who have come together in our country’s time of need; we stand arm in arm to stave off the demon of tyranny once again. And make no mistake–we will offer our lives on the altar of liberty and we will not quit until have just that: Liberty and justice for all.
