President-elect Donald Trump met with the chief executives of Boeing Co. and Lockheed Martin Corp., at Mar a Lago in Palm Beach Wednesday, two weeks after he publicly berated them for the cost Air Force One and some of the defense contractors’ military projects.
“We’re just beginning; it’s a dance,” Mr. Trump told reporters after meeting with Ms. Hewson. “It’s a little bit of a dance. But we’re going to get the costs down, and we’re going to get it done beautifully.”

The separate meetings in Palm Beach, Fla., with Boeing’s Dennis Muilenburg and Lockheed’s Marillyn Hewson follow the publication of several tweets in which Mr. Trump slammed the cost of Lockheed’s F-35 combat jet and threatened to cancel the development by Boeing of new planes that would serve as Air Force One, The Wallstreet Journal reported.
According to The Gateway Pundit, Boeing’s Dennis Muilenburg told reporters after the meeting with the President-Elect, “We’re going to get it done for less than that, and we’re committed to working together to make sure that happens.”
