“You knock one down and then we’ll be ready for Pence. We’ll get him too,” Waters said about impeachment.
Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA), was receiving an award in Los Angeles last weekend from the Stonewall Young Democrats in Los Angeles when she told the crowd about a conversation she had with someone who asked her about Mike Pence.
Should Waters succeed in her efforts to impeach President Trump, she doesn’t intend to stop there.
Her next target is Mike Pence.
“You knock one down, and then well be ready for Pence. We’ll get him, too,” Waters said.
“We cannot be intimidated,” she said. “We cannot be made to fear anybody who would interfere with our ability to have a decent quality of life.”
If Trump and Pence were both to be impeached by a Democrat-controlled Congress following the 2018 midterm elections as Waters suggested, then the Speaker of the House of Representatives would become president.
In that scenario, current House Minority Leader Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) could potentially become president, if Waters’ long shot plan is successful.
President Pelosi… pretty scary thought.
